LOndon Serpentine Gallery

It's a day after the live football match in between Arsenal and Celtic and we pay a visit to Hyde Park to see this summer's Serpentine Gallery-designed by Jean Nouvel. It's a red pavilion which its concept is inspired by the warmth of summer and also the red trademark of London bus, telephone booth and taxi. However, i think that red is really intense and it makes me feel a bit tense after spending quite some times in the pavilion. It also makes my eyes feel a bit tired after a while. However, the zoning within this small structure is really quite good. After all, it's an eye-catching icon which can be spotted from far. GOod attempt!

My first football match in Arsenal Stadium London!

I have always wanted to go to watch a live football match in UK and here come my very first time! It is a lovely Sunday and we all went all the way down to LOndon to watch this match. It's a pre-season match and it's so called Emirates cup. The match was Arsenal against Celtic. There's almost 90% Arsenal supporters in the stadium and only a wee bit of Celtic supporter. SO, it's very funny to see each group of supporters singing and cheering for their own team and also they way they against each other. The most interesting part is to play wave within the whole stadium audience seats. The live match experience is really a great one! A really great fun day!

My Short trip to London

I went to London last week for my dissertation last week. It was really a short trip and i realise i dint even take any pic of mine. During the short journey, i met up with my ex-colleague in Dyer. Glad to see them again. Also surprise to know that Joey and ChoonSin got engaged. Congratulation!

The trip is a short escape from tons of assignments and studio work load. However, the fact is, I had to do my assignment in Malaysia Hall till midnight - the ultimate sadness being an architecture student. Well, Malaysia Hall is quite a nice place to stay. Got my own room and bathroom. Wee~ Only bad thing is it will be locked after 11pm and therefore i have to rush back everytime after i meet up with my frens in city centre.

The trip was mainly about food. I love eating in London although it is so damn expensive to eat out. But the diversity choices of restaurant in London is what i miss the most when i m in Glasgow. I feel so satisfied to have the Sam Siu rice in four season restaurant and also the super nice korean BBQ. If only i can stay longer, i will definitely visit to more restaurant which i missed so much!

The super nice korean BBQ in ARANG, London.

The Chinatown in London which is full of Chinese New Year feeling~

Royal Opera House - Swan Lake

It was just a random idea. I just want to have an experience to go to royal opera house and also an experience to watch ballet. And to be lucky, there was one last super cheap ticket(£10) with restricted view and as a result, I had my two very first time. It was my first time in an opera house and it was also my first time to watch a real ballet show.

And to be honest, i am so so so so damn regreted. Not because the show was bad. Indeed, it was way too good and I shouldn't have bought a restricted view seated price ticket. Arghhhhh~~~~ I should have spend more to enjoy the nice show in this nice hall. During the show, almost 1/3 of the stage was blocked by the people in front of me. T.T
However, I still try my very best to standup a bit during the show. SOrry to my neighbours who got blocked by me~

Watcing Swan Lake is like a dream come true feeling to me. It's not that I want to learn ballet or what. It's just that I have been reading ballet's comic books since young and I have always know about the famous Swan Lake Ballet. But, it's a shame that i have never really watch a real Swan Lake Ballet in my life. I do fall in love in this elegant and loving dance.

The grand Royal Opera House, London.

The quality of the photo is aint that good but it's not too bad. 5mp hp cam in the dark room, can't expect too much, right?

The audience. It's a full house show.

The end of the show.

The beautiful dancers.

So elegant~

The bad quality photo of me. arghhhh~~~

A farewell dinner

My ex-colleague, Fei was so generous to have treat me and Phythia in My Old Place (老地方) to have a farewell dinner. I must say that the food is great and the portion is big. It's a good gathering place if you are looking for nice and affordable food.

The starter

Fried bean, even vegetable also fried with chili.

Fried pork...also with chili

This is aubergine with meat in between. It kinda reminds me my mom's cooking, which is the Yong Tau Fu she always make using aubergine.

This is my favorite - Lamb stew
