A little bit off architecture~

We have a class called-cultural studies. It is one of my favourite class in Year 5 architecture. After so many years in studying Architecture, I have already forgotten what i really like to do before this, something i like and something i m good at - they used to be one of my hobbies. Recently, my new interest thing is photography. Not very good in capturing the good moment but i love to arrange the composition when i capture a photo and edit to make them look better. I can do all these thing in this Cultural Studies class. :) Remember my previous post about the comic? It's one of the task for this class. Now i will show some of my other works in this class. They are all my favourites!
My sketch of London Tower Bridge - purely hand-drawn, no tracing~ :)

My hand-crafted little mobile holder using clay~ :)

My poster messaging war and architecture~

Lonely planet: vast loch; vast field; trees; birds; ducks and swans...people?
More than 20,000,000 choices to be made in one’s whole life, we have the freedom to make choices but sadly not the freedom to avoid choices and now even the route back home has to be chosen. To the left? Or to the right?

THe one about my studio!

This year i m taking Urban Design as my studio thesis project. It's a community project holding by Uni of Strathclyde together with the help of Glasgow City Council, the ROck Developer and some others authorities. A cool and fun project aiming to redevelop Barras Market and the surrounding area which is where we will based in for the next 9 months. The developer is actually kind enough to provide us two of the units in Barras Market for FREE. Yeah! it's free. Our studio, tutorial and exam will all based here. Pretty cool~

A month has just gone and we came out with some site analysis. As part of the examination, we held an exhibition and present all our works to the uni and public. It's great! I started to love team work now! I am having a great start of the year in Strathclyde. Wish me luck!

A life of an Architect~

We have got a submission for Cultural Studies: mapping yourself in the world of architecture and we are suppose to submit an A1 panel. I have produced a series of comic to show my idea and to be honest, those ideas came from the Korean Drama, Taiwan Drama and also those comics i had read through all these years. So far, it's the assignments that I like the most. And Alex suggested i might consider to actually post up comics about architecture periodically online and make it as a part time job. Well~ it's a nice suggestion, worth considering! :) Hope you like my work~

LOndon Serpentine Gallery

It's a day after the live football match in between Arsenal and Celtic and we pay a visit to Hyde Park to see this summer's Serpentine Gallery-designed by Jean Nouvel. It's a red pavilion which its concept is inspired by the warmth of summer and also the red trademark of London bus, telephone booth and taxi. However, i think that red is really intense and it makes me feel a bit tense after spending quite some times in the pavilion. It also makes my eyes feel a bit tired after a while. However, the zoning within this small structure is really quite good. After all, it's an eye-catching icon which can be spotted from far. GOod attempt!
